The mission of the Case Shoulder & Elbow Service is singular: provide
competent and compassionate care for a wide spectrum of shoulder and elbow disorders using the most advanced
techniques and treatment paradigms available. As part of fulfilling this mission, the Shoulder & Elbow Service is
actively involved with clinical and basic science research in an attempt to help lead the way to deeper
understanding of shoulder and elbow problems and, ultimately, improved treatment and outcomes for our patients.
The Division of Shoulder & Elbow Surgery at Case is part of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Case Western
Reserve University and the University Hospitals of Cleveland's Musculoskeletal Institute (MSI). The Department,
which continues to be ranked one of the top programs in the United States each year, features one of the premier
faculties in the field, with each trained in a specific sub-specialty of expertise.
